Born in 1983, H. I. Ambacht, The Netherlands. Currently he is 24 years old. Ever since he was 10 years old, he has been playing guitar with great enthusiasm. A little later Bart combined it with singing, which he really enjoyed.
Nowadays Bart regularly perform live as a solo artist and as part of a four-man-acoustic setting called "Very-us". Very-us is a musical project by Stefan van Treuren, Edwin Alblas, Richard Alblas and Bart Korteweg. With a repertoire ranging from early Stevie Wonder songs to more recent Gnarls Barkley songs, Very-us performs a wide variety of genres. With songs by Toto, The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Maroon 5, Ray Charles and many more, in both his solo work and the Very-us project Bart has proven to be up for any occasion.

Inspired by some of the most profound musical pioneers, with still a long way to go, I try to incorporate these influences in both my cover and original work. I project the music, melodies, origin and message of songs upon myself, enabling me to deliver a song with an genuine feel of emotion and strength. Ultimately keeping the performance fresh and giving it more of my own.
